01

From law to astrology

I did not grow up planning to become an astrologer.

I grew up in the North of Scotland before moving to England with my family at 16. From a young age, I was comfortable speaking in front of people. Debating, mooting and verse speaking came naturally to me, and I won several awards throughout school. Law eventually became the obvious academic direction — partly because of those strengths, and partly because both of my parents came from education and saw a profession built around argument, analysis and helping people as a natural fit.

I completed my LLB between 2014 and 2018 before later returning to postgraduate legal study for the Bar Professional Training Course and LLM. I achieved an Outstanding grade in Civil Litigation and Advocacy, and my Master's dissertation, The Jury System: Its Failures and Remedial Procedures, received a Distinction. My lecturer described it as one of the strongest dissertations she had read.

Law taught me how to analyse information, challenge assumptions, identify contradictions and build an argument from evidence. Those habits never left me. They eventually became central to the way I practise astrology.

02

The period that changed everything

Late 2016 was one of the lowest periods of my life.

I went through a potentially life-changing difficulty that, at the time, seemed almost impossible to make sense of. It was eventually resolved by the middle of 2018, but the experience left me with a question that became increasingly difficult to ignore: why do certain periods of life seem to arrive with such overwhelming force, while others suddenly open doors that previously seemed closed?

That question led me towards astrology.

At first, it was curiosity. I watched videos, studied charts, read horoscopes and began analysing people around me. Curiosity became obsession surprisingly quickly. The more I studied, the less interested I became in vague personality descriptions and the more interested I became in timing.

Why did something happen in 2016 rather than 2014?

Why did somebody's career suddenly accelerate at one point and stall at another?

Why did a relationship begin, a child arrive, a move happen or an opportunity appear within one particular window?

Those were the questions that kept me interested.

03

Astrology Excellence

By 2020, I had reached the point where studying privately was no longer enough.

I launched Astrology Excellence in September 2020 while still working in law.

The name was deliberate.

I have always believed that if astrology is going to be taken seriously, it has to be held to a serious standard. It should be precise where precision is possible, honest about uncertainty, testable against someone's past and useful enough to influence how they think about the future.

Around that time, I accepted what looked like a very good corporate opportunity. I lasted approximately two weeks.

Astrology Excellence had begun growing, and I knew which direction I wanted my life to take. I left the conventional career path behind and committed to the practice full-time.

It turned out to be the right decision.

04

More than 16,000 consultations later

What followed was far bigger than I expected.

Astrology Excellence grew rapidly, particularly through 2022 and 2023, and the practice began attracting clients throughout the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Today, I have completed more than 16,000 consultations, with more than 5,000 returning clients.

That volume of work has shaped my astrology more than any book ever could.

When you analyse thousands of real lives, you begin seeing patterns repeatedly. Promotions. Business growth. Marriages. Separations. Children. Property purchases. Relocations. Health difficulties. Legal disputes. Sudden breakthroughs. Periods where somebody appears to do everything correctly and still meets resistance — and periods where doors seem to open almost simultaneously.

Every consultation adds another real-world case study.

That is one of the biggest differences between the astrologer I was in 2020 and the astrologer I am today.

05

Modern astrology

My methodology is deliberately modern.

I work with an expanded planetary framework that incorporates the major outer planets alongside the classical planets, and I calculate charts using the Sidereal zodiac, which I have found provides the most consistent foundation for the predictive work I do.

But methodology is much more than choosing a zodiac or assigning significance to individual planets.

I examine planetary strength and weakness, house rulership, placement, connections between different areas of the horoscope and — most importantly — how those factors become activated through time.

Before I become interested in telling somebody about the next five or ten years, I want to know whether the horoscope can describe the life they have already lived.

The past becomes part of the validation process.

Once that structure makes sense, we move forward.

06

Prediction should mean something

I have very little interest in predictions so broad that almost anybody could recognise themselves in them.

If somebody is coming to me because they are deciding whether to leave a job, start a company, relocate across the world, get married, buy property or make another major decision, telling them that “change is coming” is not particularly useful.

The value is in understanding where the pressure or opportunity sits, when it becomes strongest and how long that period is likely to remain active.

That focus on timing has led to thousands of personal predictions covering areas such as promotion, childbirth, property purchases, career changes, relationships, financial periods and relocation.

It has also formed the basis of public predictions involving celebrities, sporting outcomes and major career breakthroughs — including publicly forecasting Manchester City's treble-winning period under Pep Guardiola and identifying a major expansion period for Jake Paul's career across 2025–2028.

I do not expect anyone to accept astrology simply because I say it works.

The work should be able to speak for itself.

07

Recognition beyond the consultation room

As Astrology Excellence grew, so did the opportunities to discuss the subject publicly.

In 2022, I was invited to lecture students on Modern Astrology at the London School of Economics.

My work has also appeared across international media including Sky, with features across NBC, FOX and The Asian Wedding Guide.

Those experiences have been valuable, but the part of the work that matters most to me has remained surprisingly consistent since the beginning: sitting down with somebody who has an important question and trying to give them a clearer picture of what they are dealing with.

The scale changed.

The reason for doing it did not.

08

Why clients come to me

People rarely book an astrology consultation because everything in their life feels perfectly clear.

They usually arrive at a crossroads.

Should I leave the job?

Is the business going through a temporary difficult period or something more fundamental?

When does the financial pressure ease?

Is this relationship likely to develop?

Should I move abroad?

Why has the last year felt completely different from the years before it?

These are not abstract questions when you are the person living them.

My job is not to make every answer positive. It is to analyse the horoscope as clearly as I can, explain what I see and give the client a usable understanding of the timing surrounding the situation.

Many clients tell me that what surprised them most was not simply a prediction about the future, but the specificity with which their past could be identified first.

That is usually where the conversation changes.

09

Astrology without the fluff

I have never felt that astrology needs to be surrounded by mystery to be interesting.

If anything, I think the opposite.

The more seriously you treat it, the more fascinating it becomes.

I am not particularly interested in telling somebody they are “entering their divine era” or that the universe is simply asking them to surrender.

I want to know what is actually happening in the horoscope.

Which areas are strong?

Which are weak?

What is activated?

When did it begin?

When does it peak?

When does it change?

And what does that mean in real life?

That is Astrology Excellence.

11

Outside Astrology Excellence

There is, fortunately, life outside horoscopes.

I am a lifelong football obsessive and Celtic supporter, I enjoy travelling, training in the gym and spending time with my family and children.

Those things matter because astrology occupies a strange position in my life.

It is my profession, but it also began because I was personally looking for answers during a difficult period.

Years later, after more than 16,000 consultations, I still understand why somebody reaches for a horoscope when life stops making sense.

Usually they are not looking for magic.

They are looking for perspective.

And that remains the part of the job I enjoy most.
